While today Tanunda is the cosmopolitan heart of the Barossa, it started life far more humbly as the tiny settlement of Langmeil located on the banks of the North Para River, to the north of the present-day town. Langmeil (‘Long Mile’) was settled in 1843 with a school house as their first public building

The St Hallett Cellar Door is situated in the heart of the Barossa Valley, nestled between acres of lush Barossa vineyard, and the banks of the Para River, just outside of Tanunda.

Charles Melton Wines has produced premium Barossa red wines, always at our winery on Krondorf Road, since 1984. It was in the mid 80's that Charlie and a small band of Barossa winemakers turned their winemaking efforts to what was considered then a couple of unfashionable varieties; Shiraz and Grenache. 

With these varieties, Charlie built a small range of classic dry reds including a Grenache/Shiraz/Mourvedre blend called the Nine Popes. These wines were initially styled on those from the Rhone but are now considered leading examples of the varieties in their own right.

Seppeltsfield is a marriage of Barossan history, community and fine winemaking endeavour. A new golden era now sees JamFactory Craft + Design Studios, Vasse Virgin skin care and gastronomic excellence  contribute to an exciting renaissance of Australia’s iconic wine estate.

In a blend of historic and contemporary architecture, the Peter Lehmann Wines cellar door welcomes guests to our stunning red gum bar to experience some of Australia’s most awarded wines. 

Our cellar door is situated along Para Road in Tanunda, Barossa on the banks of the Para River. The old stone building and veranda are a lovely setting to enjoy a wine tasting, but it’s the surrounding lawns and gardens that make the Peter Lehmann Wines really special.

Once a trading village settled by German migrant Christian Auricht, this remarkable location forms a captivating pocket of Australian wine history and is home to what is believed to be the world’s oldest shiraz vineyard, The Freedom 1843.

Family-owned and operated by the Lindner family, whose own mark on the region spans six-generations, Langmeil today embodies the ideals and experience passed down throughout the generations of Barossa’s winemakers and grapegrowers before them.

Kellermeister was originally founded founded by Ralph Jones in 1976 and named in honour of his German mother, who died when he was a young boy and whose maiden name he recalled as being 'Keller' before being anglicized. Ralph's ambition in establishing Kellermeister was to “play the Curtain Raiser” in the Barossa Valley, hand making, hand bottling and hand selling small batch wines of true character. With his beloved wife Val beside him he would purchase a century old Shiraz vineyard (known as Kellermeister's Black Sash vineyard today) on a hill near the sleepy southern Barossa town of Lyndoch, and later build the now famous yet still humble mud brick cellar from the scorched red earth of that unique and gloriously located site.

Lou Miranda Estate is a family owned boutique winery based in the Barossa Valley,  South Australia. Lou, his wife Val and their daughters Lisa and Victoria produce premium quality wines under the Leone and Lou Miranda Estate brands using fruit from their own Barossa Valley vineyards.
